It combines the best features of Castelli's premier race short, the Free Aero RC bibshort, with Dyneema side panels for protection in case of a fall, and four pockets for storage. It's made first and foremost for riding comfort. It uses the top-of-the-line Progetto x2 air seamless seat pad that provides progressive damping and the softest, stretchiest skin contact layer available. The Forza 2 fabric provides just the right level of compression and muscle support for your longest rides. The comfort is further enhanced by the minimalist free bib strap-less material to keep you cooler, but just enough to keep your short in place. This is our midrange performance short, great for a long ride or a quick hour workout indoors or out. Our endurance evolution fabric is a high-modulus, very matte lycra fabric that feels extremely dry while providing just the right amount of compression. At the leg ending we use a raw-cut edge with vertical silicone strips to keep the leg in place without the pressure that creates the dreaded sausage effect. The bib straps are stretchy enough that you can pull the short down for a pee break without removing your jersey and bibs, while the floating construction allows you to cross the straps on the front or the back, whichever works better for you.
